![]() “I have not conquered Everest, it has merely tolerated me.” --Peter Habeler Peter Habeler seems to be saying that Everest is a living and breathing thing that people want to dominate. However, he clearly states that no one conquers Everest; we just survive it. I see the Everest unit as being a metaphor for life. No one conquers life, it merely tolerates us. We study Everest because we are interested in trying to understand how to live life. Learning about Everest helps us to understand how to live a more fulfilled life. Studying how people go about tackling a huge challenge has been the goal since the beginning of the year. The goal in this essay is to make clear how Everest connects to your life. Have fun with the challenge! What is your mountain? Enjoy the climb. Climb on! Essay Prompt: What is your mountain? Compare climbing Everest to what you are trying to accomplish in life. Theres many obstacles in life but the others can relate in the same but different ways as in climbing Mt.Everest.There’s many bumps in the road such as crevasses there are people that you can count on just as we can usually count on our parents they can count on climb guards to get the to the top which is called the Summit.
